The Salib Suci Foundation, one of the country’s oldest and most respected K-12 education networks, has announced it will use Space and Time, a blockchain-based data platform, to securely store and verify English-language fluency test credentials for about 14,000 students across 70 schools.
This move comes as more institutions across Indonesia are adopting blockchain technology to enhance the management of academic credentials. The initiative builds on a partnership between Indomobil Group, one of Indonesia’s largest business conglomerates, and the Space and Time Foundation, which recently launched a program allowing students to record proof of course completion directly on the blockchain.
A New Standard for Verifiable Credentials
Under the partnership, every English Fluency Test (EFT) credential issued by Salib Suci schools will be uploaded to the SXT Chain. It gives students a permanent, verifiable record of achievement. This means that when graduates apply for higher education or jobs. Their results can be instantly verified. No paperwork, no delays, no risk of forgery.
Indomobil’s education initiative already set the stage for this shift. Using SXT, the native token of Space and Time, students can seamlessly enroll in courses and pay for certifications while institutions benefit from automated verification. With Salib Suci’s adoption, the program now extends blockchain-based recordkeeping to younger students. It broads its impact to around 124,000 learners nationwide when combined with the earlier rollout at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia’s top university.

“By moving records onto the SXT Chain with Space and Time and Indomobil. We’re giving every student proof of their achievements that can follow them anywhere they choose to study or work,” said Pastor Leo van Beurden, chairman of the Salib Suci Foundation.
Blockchain and Education Converge
Education verification is one of blockchain’s fastest-growing real-world uses. Around the world, universities and training institutions are adopting decentralized ledgers. The goal is to make academic credentials tamper-proof and portable. The World Economic Forum recently highlighted blockchain-based diplomas as a key step toward improving transparency in education systems globally.
According to Alejandro Lanapsa, Head of Partnerships at Space and Time, “Education systems need a way to make learning records universal and verifiable. Space and Time was built as the verifiable database for exactly this kind of adoption.”
